The Shart Select boys convene once more, like those witches at the start of Macbeth, only cooler. We’ve had no missing cats, there’s been no Christmas and we’re starting to adjust to some kind of schedule at last. We also bought new microphones to supply you, our lovely listeners, with better audio quality (and hopefully make my voice less nasal sounding!)
So what pure, unadulterated nonsense did we spout this month? Let us find out!
What have we been playing?
Ryan:
This month our Ryan has been away from World of Warcraft, having grown bored with the current content. Instead he’s given Agony a try, a game that was slated on release. Ryan seems to be enjoying it though, so that’s great! He’s also continuing his adventures in Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, still on the hunt for houmous in Ancient Greece.
Stu:
Our audio expert has been continuing his one man blitzkrieg in Battlefield 5, taking names and kicking bottom. He’s also playing the other end of the field with Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, where he’s been playing that game’s Battle Royale mode like a bawss. Probably.
Winst0lf:
I’ve retreated into a blanket of 90s nostalgia with the new Resident Evil 2 remake, which I’m really enjoying even if it is scaring the bejeezus out of me (screw you Mr X!) I’ve also been playing Zelda: Breath Of the Wild on the Switch, which is great RPG set in a big, open world where you play a famous Nintendo character with amnesia who has to save what’s left of poor old Hyrule.
The News
This episode I had my trusty phone back and so was able to pick up some actual stories from across the industry. We discuss things such as EA vs Belgium, that Anthem release nonsense and an actual fighting game about pigeons!
Main Feature
We had a good old talk about our favourite (and most comedy) non player characters from across the board, including the legends and the not so legends. Expect an extra post about this soon!
